Secretary- Debbie Pallack, MSW

Debbie is a retired social worker who is active in her church and community projects. She understands how difficult it is for patients and families to care for dying loved ones and the trials families face to find a place where their loved ones daily care needs will be met, at a reasonable price. From 1988 to 2020, Debbie was employed by YRMC as a Social Work case manager. At YRMC, she was involved in the Patient and Family Education committee, and the Bioethics Committee. Her work was mainly with patients and families affected by chronic illness and assisting with safe discharge planning. Debbie’s other community involvements include activity as the Secretary of the Board of Yuma North End Community of Hope, a nonprofit established in 2001 as an outreach and missions’ arm of First United Methodist Church in Yuma. She was also employed as a medical social worker at St. Luke’s Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona and by Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona as the director of the Safe House Domestic Violence Shelter and then as the director of Day Break Adult Day Health Care Center. Treasurer- Justin Haile

Justin Haile is the co-owner of 4th Ave Gym, Elite Medspa + Wellness, Valley Speech, and the founder of The 4th Ave Gym Athletic Foundation. Born and raised in Yuma, Justin has dedicated his life to the betterment of his community through his businesses and philanthropy. Justin officially began his entrepreneurial career behind the counter at 4th Ave Gym when he was 13 years old, although he would argue it started in elementary school when he sold items, like hand warmers, to his classmates on the playground. You could say he’s a born salesman and has a natural, and proven, understanding of how to operate a successful business. Justin is not only known for his business prowess, but also his love for his community and his genuine personable nature. These characteristics have proven to be the key to his success in any venture he puts his mind to. The gym, started by his father in 1981, has become a beloved Yuma institution with a culture & reputation that has been built by Justin. The past two years, he’s been proud to support Yuma athletes through Special Olympics, by hosting the annual power lifting meet at the gym. In 2006, he founded Elite Tanning which now, almost 20 years later, has grown to include a hair salon (J & Frank) and medical spa (Elite). In 2020, he built and opened the second 4th Ave Gym location in the Foothills, which also includes 10,000 sq. ft. of commercial rental space. In 2023, Justin will open a stand-alone medical spa and wellness facility (Elite), along with an outpatient Speech Pathology clinic (Valley Speech). Next on the business horizon, are the third and fourth gym locations that should break ground in the next few years. In 2017, Justin put his mind to a project that had been on his heart for a few years, giving back to the Yuma County high school athletic programs. He established The 4th Ave Gym Athletic Foundation and every year provides each high school with needed equipment and resources. From weight lifting barbells, to wrestling mats and scoreboards, Justin has been able to improve the athletic environments for our high school athletes. As of 2023, he’s given over $242,000.00 to our Yuma area high schools. He is a recipient of the ‘Heart of Yuma’ award in 2016 and again in 2019. In 2020 he was given the Stephen and Bobbie Shadle Hero Award, through the AZ Community Foundation. He is also the recipient of the 2022 Hall of Fame Outstanding Organization, presented by the Education Foundation of Yuma County. Hard work, integrity, family, and community are the pillars of any business Justin is a part of. Personally, Justin has had experience with both palliative care and hospice for many family members, so this collaboration is near and dear to his heart. He is honored to be able to support and give back to Yuma families through The Hansen House.
